Headache Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Headache (the “Application”), developed by Serious Business Software LLC (“Serious Business,” “we,” “us”), handles your data. We designed Headache from the ground up to protect your personal information.

Strictly local-first: Headache does not require an account. Your attacks, symptoms, triggers, medications, and notes are stored on your iPhone in the Application’s private SwiftData database. No analytics, no third-party SDKs, no data is transmitted from the Application to our servers — because we do not operate servers for this Application.

What We Collect

Headache does not collect, track, store, or transmit any personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or device identifiers. Everything you enter into the Application is processed and stored locally on your iPhone and never leaves it.

WeatherKit

If you enable Weather features, Headache uses Apple’s WeatherKit to retrieve weather conditions (including barometric pressure) for your coarse location. The WeatherKit query is made by Apple’s framework directly. Apple’s privacy policy governs that interaction; Serious Business Software LLC does not receive your location data or your WeatherKit query history.

HealthKit (Optional)

If you grant the Application permission to integrate with the Health app, attack data may be written to Apple Health (read/write permission is requested at the point of use). All HealthKit data stays on-device per Apple’s policies. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

Apple Foundation Models (Insights)

The Insights feature uses Apple Foundation Models, which run entirely on your iPhone. Your data is not sent to Apple’s servers, OpenAI, or any other third party. The model file is part of iOS.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your data is encrypted by Apple’s CloudKit and synchronized with your other Apple devices through your iCloud account. Apple’s privacy policy governs that interaction; Serious Business Software LLC does not have access to your iCloud data.

Local Storage and Deletion

Your attack data, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone. You have full control over this data and may delete it at any time by:

  • Going to the Application’s Settings and selecting Reset.
  • Uninstalling the Application.

Children’s Privacy

The Application does not collect or transmit any data and does not target or collect personal information from children. It complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
